“Your energy was patient and unobtrusive.”

Recently I answered a Twitter request for help from Lisa, aka Amethyst Lane, and to be quite honest, I misunderstood the request and sent directly to her. 🙂 Afterwards, she said she would let me know later how the energy felt to her, and this is what she said:

“I am very guarded in general so asking for communal help to assist in my healing work is rare. Several answered the call and I appreciate all. Yours was very distinct and I am not sure it reflects your personality because we’ve never met but I *knew* it was from you. Your energy was patient and unobtrusive. It waited for me to be ready to receive it (apparently recognizing my guardedness). It was gentle and when I opened myself to it, it enveloped me like a gentle breeze building in power and lingering until I could drop my guards, breathe naturally, and rest. In other words, “it was exactly what I needed”. Thank you so much.”

I cried. 🙂

When Healing Takes Time

I always tell people that a healing session may not be immediately felt, that sometimes it unfolds over time as with Amanda Donnelly’s session*. Healing that is working on a deeper level than a hurt hand, for instance, takes time, and I know that clients don’t always connect the session with the changes unless they are consciously keeping track.

I like to check in with people soon after a session, but even though I know the shifts can take time, it feels a bit pushy to do so a few weeks or months later. Every time I send healing light, your health and happiness are my goal, and I admit it, sometimes I look back through my schedule, wondering if this person or that person had the changes they were hoping for. 🙂

If we’ve worked together this year and you’ve felt better as time has gone on, think back…when did that change begin? Have there been subtle changes that you didn’t notice until they became part of a larger “Dang, I’m feeling so much better lately!” awareness? You may be surprised to connect-the-dots and realize that it is connected to the session, especially if your initial reaction to the session was a bit of a “Meh”. Those are the ones that seem to be doing the most inner work that takes time.

I’d love to hear from you if this is the case!

PS: I can easily accommodate the schedules of anyone around the world, don’t forget! I’m on MST (or UTC/GMT -7), and have no problem waking in the middle of the night for a session. Also, receiving light while sleeping can be highly beneficial, too, as our bodies heal during that time. My schedule is your schedule, so let’s work together!

PPS: I mention Amanda’s post frequently, as it such a clear example of how healing works, and also because no one else has written about a session a long while after the fact. I’ll try not to do it so often after this! 🙂

Happy April!!!

It’s snowing here! Lightly, but still. It’s April! All the flowers and trees are in full bloom, the grass is growing…and it’s snowing. Mother Nature’s giant April Fool’s joke. 😉

The other day I was pondering life and all that goes with it, and I came across this blog post by Alexandra Franzen, called He’s Waiting. She’s Listening. In it she discusses when she began blogging and feeling like what she was writing wasn’t making any difference. And then something amazing happened, and she remembered the truth of writing:

“The truth, which is:

If you write something and share it — and your words help one human being to

experience a better day, or a better life — then your work is a tremendous success.

And also,

You never, ever know how your words might influence someone else’s life.”

I have felt insignificant many times over the years, both as a blogger and a healer, and that post really hit home and sent me thinking. What I write here will, as the subtitle says, be “a little of this, a little of that”, because, well, that’s how I roll. Things catch my interest and I want to tell someone!

I’ve missed blogging, and plan to do much more of it. I promise not to inundate you, though!

I hope you continue to follow along, and please, if you’re in need of a healing boost, check out website, see how I can help you (even from across the world!), and let’s get you feeling better, ok? OK! 🙂

Also, I found this in one of my older posts, and it cracked me up all over again! Dear Blogger, You Are Doing It Wrong.

Much love to you all!

What is Distance Healing?

Good question.

A few years ago, while reading Sea of Miracles by Amy Oscar, I came upon mention of “Indra’s Net” and the concept really struck home:

In the realm of the god Indra is a vast net that stretches infinitely in all directions. In each “eye” of the net is a single brilliant, perfect jewel. Each jewel also reflects every other jewel, infinite in number, and each of the reflected images of the jewels bears the image of all the other jewels — infinity to infinity. Whatever effects (sic) one jewel effects (sic) them all.”

“Whatever affects one jewel affects them all.” The way I look at it, we all are jewels in this infinite net, and when I sit outside with my teddy bear, sending light to someone across the globe, that healing light is winging its way along the web, heading right towards that exact jewel that is in need of help. Along the way, it also affects those around that jewel, not in such a strong manner – maybe even just fleetingly – but all are affected.

So when you’re wondering if signing up for a distance session when you live in, oh, Norway or Australia, would have any affect on you…it does. I have the feedback that lets me know it does. I know it may be difficult to understand just how it works, and I don’t honestly know, either (the web/net metaphor helps me bring some sense to it), but somehow, some way it does.

The benefit of having a distance session is that you are in your own comfortable space, you don’t have to get dressed up, and if you fall asleep (which does happen at times), you’re already home! And, most of all, you’re receiving the help you asked for. Win-win!

Do You Deserve Energy Healing, Part 2

As I mentioned last week, people sometimes respond to the offer of healing light with, “Save it for someone who needs it more”, and today I cover what I see as the second implication contained in that comment.

It seems that there is a belief that healing light/energy is a finite commodity, and as such, can be depleted. Not so! I’ll be honest: I don’t actually know where it comes from or how it flows through me to you (though I do use the word “Spirit” in that context), but I do believe that the universe IS energy. And by not using it to help others, we are leaving a huge potential for healing left untapped.

As far as I’m aware, the energy is infinite, and I do know that Spirit knows exactly who I am sending light to, even if all I have to go on is a screen name.

So please, allow the healing energy to help you! You deserve health, and you are not taking away from someone else; there is more than enough to go around!

Do You Deserve Energy Healing?

I admit it: I’m a healing-light pusher. 😉

Yes, I fully intend to make my living as a healer very, very soon, and so paid sessions are obviously my bread and butter. That doesn’t stop me from offering to send light to a friend when a need comes up out of the blue, though.

What interests me is that I sometimes receive a response such as, “I’d rather the energy be spent on those who need it more”, which, to me, has two implications.

First, that there is a belief that a stubbed toe, a sudden headache, a hand that was slammed in a door isn’t something that is worthy of being helped. That healing-light is only for “big” problems and ailments.

Nothing could be further from the truth! Healing-light is for every problem, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. No one needs to suffer simply because there are souls who are dealing with cancer, and in comparison your issue seems trivial. Your pain still matters, especially to you! Denying yourself relief in the erroneous belief that someone else “deserves” it more is counter-productive.

Maybe you need your pain healed so that you can unexpectedly help someone in more pain that you, or you’re able to work and make a bit of extra money and donate it to a good cause, or you’re able to help someone enter a store with a bit more ease…we never know what the ‘verse has in store for us, and It is quite positive that we all deserve health. So it’s ok to accept it!

I’ll write about the second implication in my blog post next week!

How do you feel about accepting light for small problems, whether physical or emotional? Do you feel you aren’t worthy of accepting it? Why? Please, I’d love to hear your comments!

Are You Ready For A Change?

Photo by RODNAE Productions on Pexels.com

I’ve decided to bring back a session that I offered in 2013, one that received some amazing feedback from both Amanda Donnelly and Bonnie Cehovet (please note: the links to my sites in those posts are no longer active). A new year, changing times, and the growing feeling we all have concerning speaking out, standing up for ourselves, and making the world a better place; these all speak to some of the ways that this particular session can help.

Here is what I wrote about it back then:

Dare To Live The Possibilities!

Most of us gave away our power to be our true selves, whether consciously or not, long ago…many of us did so when we were young and society began telling us that “this is right, this is wrong”. We’ve grown up with rules about our behavior, our attire, our sexual preferences…pretty much every aspect of our lives, and we’ve buried who we really are deep down inside, shutting the doors to those feelings and trying to forget they exist.

For women especially, we have had to hide our true feminine powers and sexuality, or alternately, had it splashed all over the place and judged in negative ways. We are expected to be the quiet little woman during the day, and the temptress at night…neither of which is our true nature. We are a mix of so many things, and we have forgotten that. We spend so much time in our heads, letting thoughts, both ours and others’, dictate our lives, and we aren’t actually living IN our bodies, our strength, or our hearts. Most men aren’t, either.

Are you interested in those doors flinging open and feeling the joys of of new possibilities? Do you dare?

Yes? Wonderful, because I can help with that!

I help shift the improbable into the possible.

This distance session consists of unblocking energies in 5 crucial areas of our lives: our sense of self, our sexuality and creativity, our sense of personal power and choice, loving ourselves unconditionally, and speaking our truths.

We are glorious beings, and we are not here to hide in corners, judging and being judged, while also doubting ourselves and our feelings; no, we are here to shine in all our truth and personal power!

You have the choice of a one hour session for $75,

or a deeper, 90-minute session for $125.

Each person has a different experience when energies are unblocked; you may simply feel free, joyous and alive, or you could feel emotions come to the forefront to be felt and released, opening you to a emotional cleansing on many levels. You could cry or sleep. Some have a sudden insight into where exactly they want their life to go and who they want to be, or some have had dreams leading them to experiences they never knew they wanted…it’s all up to your soul and the Divine to free you in the best way for you. I am simply the joyous catalyst for this shift.

If you are ready for a change, pay for your session here, and then we will set up an appointment to let the real you shine!

The Year of the Hermit

2016 adds up to 9, and in tarot 9 is the Hermit.

©Pip Miller
The Sun and Moon, Osho Zen, Fey, and DruidCraft.

The Hermit, to quote one of my favorite tarot books is, “…a symbol of introspection and the wisdom that is gleaned in thoughtful silence. This card invites you to withdraw from the clutter and commotion of the everyday world and find peace in solitude.”

I took last month off of pretty much all social media sites except Twitter, and I’ve found that by doing so, whenever I check in to any site (even just Twitter), it just all seems so loud. Overly busy, and just overly, overly noisy in my head. This morning I came across a blog post by d smith kaich jones, and it said, in her usual inimitable way, what I am feeling.

Thoughtful silence. Withdraw. Smaller things. Softer.

All I know is that I need a lot more of this:

I’ve no idea where this desire is going to take me, but healing myself is my prime directive this year. I’ve even chosen “Health” as my word for the year. So if I’m hit and miss with interacting, just know that it is necessary for nurturing myself, and not that I’m giving it all up – can any of us do that anymore? We’ve become so entrenched in “living” out our lives online, when in actuality that isn’t what we are doing. So…the withdrawal.

Image ©Osho Zen Tarot

I also began this year of thoughtful silence with a distance healing session (begin as you intend to go on). Being able to help others fills me with peace and joy, and second to caring for my health, that is how I most want to spend my year. Even if I’m not showing up online often, I always check my email, so know that if you purchase a session, I will get back to you as soon as possible so we can set up a time.

Happy September!!!!!!

Oh, thank goodness August is over! I really had days wherein I wasn’t sure I was going to make it through the month, and the last few days seemed to drag, as if teasing me with the relief that is to come but was still just out of reach.

I know many are sad about the thought of summer coming to an end, but here in the SW, sometimes it’s a real blessing to have that relentless heat finally morph into crisp evenings and mornings. And the wind: it’s about time for the wind to show up again, and while I could do without the dust flying, it’s lovely to have what feels like a clean sweep of stagnant energies go on for a few weeks.

I’ve also mentioned before that September always feels like a new year to me; a definite hold-over from school years when we started the Tuesday after Labor Day.

I’m still waiting for my new Plum Paper planner to be shipped; they said 6-8 weeks, but I really was hoping to get it today since I had requested it to go from September to August. Ah well, it will get here when it gets here, and I’ll keep using my Filofax til then.

This is a picture that was either submitted to a National Geographic contest a few years ago, or it is by a N.G. photographer (I don’t remember the name; bad hobbit). Every time I look at it, it cracks me up, and today, it’s exactly how I feel!

Nat'l Geo photo

I’m motivated to do find a way to do more sessions (that’s goal #1), to sign up for Joanna Powell Colbert’s “30 Days of Harvest” because it looks delicious on many levels…and to focus on nurturing ME for a change (getting sick twice this summer was a new record for me).

So Happy September (New Year), one and all!!!

Dry July For Breast Cancer Countdown

Almost there, kids! Friday is the end of the month, and I think I am SO over alcohol that this was the best thing ever for me. 🙂

A few of you donated to Tamara’s Avon 39 Walk, thank you for that. I’d hoped to raise more money for her, but every little bit counts, so I’m happy.

If you’re considering taking time off from drinking, a great book to read about it is “Between Drinks“, which I reviewed quite a while here. No one is saying you have to stop across the board, but sometimes taking time off helps you realize just how much, and in what ways, drinking, even casually, if affecting your life and your health. I have pains that have disappeared, and except for getting sick last Monday, overall, I feel pretty darned good!

Breast cancer, on the other hand, is something that will not go away by putting down the glass, but doing so can help prevent it in some cases. More research is needed to see what more they can do to get rid of this cancer once and for all, so please, even though you may have been reading along to see how sobriety is doing for me, remember why I did it in the first place, and even if you can’t donate now, keep it in mind and do so at another time if possible. BTW, does anyone remember that site that allows you to click on it each day and a donation is made to breast cancer, or for animals, or reading…there are 5 or 6 causes you can donate to (without any actual money) just by clicking. If you remember, please comment; I want to promote that site in a post. Thanks!
