Midnight Musings

It’s actually 4:45 a.m., but who’s counting? Can’t sleep, too much on my mind. The other day I started doing Morning Pages (which are actually ‘whenever my brain wants to explode and I need it to shut the hell up’ pages), and when I woke up at 3 this morning I thought what a perfect time for people to do them. Wake up and can’t get back to sleep because your brain went into overdrive? Write. Don’t think about what you’re writing, just write. No punctuation, correct grammar, complete sentences…just get it all out so you can go back to sleep. Mine are so messy I can’t even read them, but that’s part of the pages; they aren’t supposed to be looked at ever again; it’s a brain dump, not a journal or diary. I planned to shred them as I went because there’s a lot going on in my head that no one else need ever know about, but there’s no point.

I was just reading Twitter, and it was noted that there’s been a huge drop in bots and fake American feeds since Russia blocked the app. Could be the best thing ever for upcoming elections here. Someone else mentioned that they were “so tired of living in ‘interesting times'”…amen to that.

Does anyone else have a cat who meows and meows to be pet, but stays just out of reach? What the heck is up with that??

There’s really no point to this post besides I had a lot more going on in my head til I pulled out the laptop, and then ‘poof!’, it all disappeared. I did want to blog more, so I’ll just consider this part of that plan. 😂

I have a sick kitty to send light to. That will settle me enough so I can go back to sleep.

Stay safe.

With hope and love,

Pip 🌻✨

  1. In my world all the journaling is like that 24/7. Get some rest when you can. Hugs. 💙💛

It’s nice to blog like we used to back in the day, before everything became about marketing.

I should take a picture of the pages; it’s quite ridiculous, and incredibly freeing at the same time.

      1. It is. That’s why the rebranding that your reading helped to begin was such a turning point for me. It was exactly that – letting go of the PC, nonthreatening, milque-toast, appeal to the suburbanites marketing that Modern Oracle turned into. Blogging = publising platform to my mind, but not so much ‘marketing’ . My private journaling is, was and will be a firehose of stream of consciousness, no-rules, fuck it all brain dump.
