I haven’t been feeling up to par the past few days, and my stomach has been bugging me most of all. Yesterday my guy bought some veggies for me, and I’m starting out the day with a green smoothie to see if it helps.
This one has spinach, cucumber, frozen strawberries and blueberries (hence the mud color), flaxseed and chia seeds. Oh, and water.
As with most smoothies, it tastes a whole lot better than it looks. π
I tend to just toss in what I have, which can make for some really interesting smoothies, let me tell you! I’ve actually dumped a couple, they were so bad. I downloaded a couple of books from Amazon onto my Kindle, because I’m sure having a recipe to follow will most likely create delicious-tasting drinks. π
The first is Smoothies for Weight Loss, and while that is a goal of mine, that’s not really the reason I’m drinking them. The second is 40 Green Smoothie Recipes for Weight Loss and Detox – I’m sensing a theme here. π I’ll tell you straight up from the start, though…there will be NO kale involved! I don’t care how good for me that stuff is, it tastes god-awful. Period.
Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe you’d like to pass along? Have you ever done the 30-day smoothie challenge that was going around a couple years ago? What did you think of it?
Let us know!!!
